HEL-STAR 6 Gen III is the latest in a series of marker lights designed specifically for helmet mounting during airborne, MFF, and other military operations. It combines the features of the earlier HEL-STAR 4 and 5 models into a compact unit with enhanced visibility and easy, tool-free battery replacement.

The newly refined Gen III version features a low-profile design, integrated tie-downs, and advanced electronics with field re-programming capability.

Sliding switches improve tactile feedback and allow intuitive control between two operating modes and four user-defined functions. Available signal options include White, four visible colors, and IR—either flashing or steady—with variable flash rates and coded signals for improved IFF capability.

Independent testing confirms the HEL-STAR 6 Gen III exceeds the FAA's 3-statute mile visibility requirement. It is also shock, vibration, and dust resistant.

This version (HS-640-01(P)) includes the CORE Survival field re-programming option.
